Job DetailsWe are seeking a skilled Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner for our Division of Behavioral Health. This role offers remote and hybrid work arrangements.
Key Duties- Conduct patient assessments and develop individualized treatment plans, ensuring adherence to relevant regulations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including staff psychiatrists, nurses, and other professionals.
- Deliver evidence-based psychiatric services, education, and counseling to patients.
- Referring patients for inpatient care when necessary, in collaboration with the staff psychiatrist.
- Prescribing medications according to established treatment guidelines.
- Ordering and interpreting laboratory tests, and explaining findings to patients.
- Providing patients with comprehensive information on medications, risks, benefits, and expected outcomes.
- Maintaining regular communication with patients and engaging in follow-up as required.
- Performing similar duties or tasks as assigned or needed.
- Hold a Master's degree in Nursing with a focus on Psychiatric/Mental Health from an accredited institution.
- Three years of experience in duties related to the above description.
- Licensed as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in the state of NY.
- Able to work 25+ hours per week.
