Position: Adult Hospitalist Nocturnist
PIH Health is a nonprofit healthcare organization dedicated to providing exceptional medical services across multiple facilities. With a robust network of hospitals and outpatient centers, we prioritize patient care through a collaborative approach involving over 170 healthcare professionals.
The Adult Hospitalist Nocturnist is responsible for delivering comprehensive inpatient care, working closely with various hospital departments to maintain high standards of patient treatment. This role requires strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with primary care physicians, specialists, patients, families, and hospital administration.
The nocturnist will engage with a multidisciplinary team to ensure that patients receive appropriate care tailored to their needs.

Essential Qualifications- Proven communication skills: capable of collaborating with team members, primary care providers, specialists, and nursing staff to facilitate patient admissions and address service needs.
- Delivers patient care aligned with established standards and best practices.
- Familiarity with the scope of practice for Adult Hospitalists.
- Availability to work standard nocturnist hours.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities.
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities, including conflict resolution.
- Ability to work independently.
- Possession of a valid California Medical license.
- Graduation from an accredited medical school.
- Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Residency program.
- A minimum of three years of direct patient care experience in a hospitalist role is preferred.
- Commitment to ongoing education and professional development to maintain licensure.
- Board Certification: Must be board certified or board eligible.
FLSA Status: Professional-Exempt
