Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled General Manager to lead our plant operations and drive business growth. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of plant operations, including workplace health and safety, community engagement, production efficiency, product quality, food safety, regulatory compliance, reliability, continuous improvement, and cost control.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement location-specific strategic vision and goals that align with and support the overall organization's vision and goals.
  • Provide leadership for the plant operations management team, setting clear, concise expectations around behaviors and key performance indicators.
  • Foster a culture of accountability through employee engagement, empowerment, and regular, open, and honest dialogue.
  • Promote a culture of employee and product safety by understanding and supporting Daily's safety programs, operating principles, and quality management system.
  • Drive a continuous improvement mindset through the implementation of lean manufacturing processes.
  • Manage the facility budget, including cost management and capital expenditures.
  • Ensure all capital projects are on time, within budget, and deliver agreed-upon expectations.
  • Collaborate with customers, suppliers, vendors, and senior leadership.
Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree is strongly preferred, with ten (10) or more years of progressive experience, including Plant Manager responsibilities, in food manufacturing, specifically within animal protein.
  • Experience in project management for large capital construction projects is a plus.
