Health Advocates Network is seeking a Correctional Nursing Specialist to work at a facility in Las Cruces, NM. This role offers an exciting opportunity for experienced nurses to provide high-quality care to patients while promoting positive outcomes and safety.

 

About the Role

This position is located in Las Cruces, NM, and requires a valid New Mexico nursing license. We prefer candidates with correctional experience, but all qualified RNs are encouraged to apply.

The ideal candidate will be able to communicate effectively in oral and written English, as well as demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with patients, staff, and physicians.

 

Responsibilities
  • Provide general nursing care to patients, including administering prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques.
  • Prepare equipment and assist physicians during treatments and examinations of patients.
  • Observe patient conditions, record significant reactions, and notify supervisors or physicians of any concerns.
  • Take vital signs, such as temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and other essential measurements to assess patient conditions.

 

Requirements
  • A valid and current RN license issued by the state of New Mexico.
  • A valid and current CPR card (American Heart Association).
  • Proficiency in English language communication skills.

 

Salary Information

This role offers a competitive salary range of $58 - $64.44 per hour, depending on location and qualifications.
