About this Role:

The State of California is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to serve as the Chief, Local Governmental Financing Division (CEA B). This role is responsible for providing policy and organizational leadership in the formulation and administration of Medi-Cal financing-related policies, including reimbursement methodologies, policies, manuals, procedures, and related statutory/contractual requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement policy consistent with applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Lead division team members and ensure uniform direction and efficiency in carrying out division operations.
  • Provide policy and organizational leadership in the formulation and administration of Medi-Cal financing-related policies.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for local, state, and federal representatives.
  • Work under the general direction of the Deputy Director, Health Care Financing.
Requirements:
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of health care-related financing, the Medi-Cal program, and the state's budgetary and legislative processes.
  • Experience with federal financial reimbursement and financial oversight.
  • Knowledge of cost accounting and federal claims.
  • Ability to analyze complex problems and implement effective courses of action.
