The Senior Network & Systems Administrator is a crucial role that requires effective provisioning, installing/configuring, operating, and maintaining system hardware, software, and related infrastructure systems. This individual ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational values and standards.
This position supports project efforts by performing technical analysis, design, build, test, and implementation tasks in Windows server environments, virtual server environments, data networks, application systems, and tools that support the infrastructure environment.
Responsibilities include recommending and following technical standards for system configuration, documenting technical configurations, installing and configuring servers and necessary applications, performing system upgrades and patches, engaging with vendors for license renewals, hardware/software, and support contracts, and supporting help desk personnel as necessary to resolve end-user issues.
The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of Microsoft Windows server environments, including four years of experience managing Active Directory and Group Policy. Two years of experience administering Microsoft Exchange environment or Office 365, in-depth working knowledge and two years of experience with VMWare, two years of experience supporting IIS web servers, and general working knowledge and previous experience supporting MS SQL Server clusters are also required.
This role offers a competitive salary of $120,000 per year, along with a range of benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and professional development opportunities.
