About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Juvenile Probation Officer to join our team at the State of Florida. As a key member of our social services department, you will play a critical role in providing support and guidance to juvenile law offenders in custody or on probation or parole.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement rehabilitation plans to address the unique needs of each offender
  • Collaborate with mental health professionals, substance abuse specialists, and other stakeholders to provide comprehensive support services
  • Make recommendations for actions to ensure the successful rehabilitation of offenders
  • Provide education and training to offenders on life skills, job readiness, and other essential topics
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to improve the effectiveness of our social services programs
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or a related field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a related field, preferably in juvenile justice or social services
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
