Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Ophthalmic Technician to join our team. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will play a vital role in preparing patients for eye exams, administering medications, and assisting with surgical procedures.
Responsibilities- Perform technician-specific eye exam duties to prepare patients for seeing the doctor
- Administer topical medication to patients
- Setup, train, and assist with in-office surgical procedures and laser surgery
- Triage acute patient concerns over the phone
- Complete patient messages and thorough documentation
- Experience with electronic medical records
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Maintain current knowledge of and use medical terminology
- Well-organized with attention to detail
- Ability to work as a member of a team
- Competitive compensation starting at $18.00 per hour
