Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Control Systems Engineer for an 18-month contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining control systems for various industrial applications. The role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality automation and control solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop control systems for industrial automation, including PLC, DCS, SCADA, and HMI systems.
  • Develop and troubleshoot control algorithms, process controls, and system integration.
  • Perform system simulations, testing, and validation to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.
  • Program and configure control systems, including PLCs (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, etc.), DCS, and SCADA systems.
  • Collaborate with the design and project teams to develop control strategies and system architectures.
  • Conduct system troubleshooting, diagnostics, and commissioning to ensure reliable system operation.
  • Participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT).
  • Provide technical support and training to clients and operators.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
  • Maintain documentation of control systems, including system architecture, I/O lists, wiring diagrams, and software code.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in control systems engineering, preferably within the industrial or automation sectors.
  • Strong proficiency in programming PLCs (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley), DCS, SCADA, and HMI systems.
  • Hands-on experience with control panel design, wiring, and system integration.
  • Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP).
  • Familiarity with safety standards and regulations in control systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, P&IDs, and wiring diagrams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex control system issues.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
