Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Strategic Planning: Provide strategic direction and oversight for academic programs, services, and policies, ensuring alignment with the college's mission and goals.
- Operational Management: Assist in the day-to-day operations of the college, including fiscal management, resource development, policy setting, and employee relations.
- Academic Oversight: Provide direct oversight of the Center for Academic Planning and Support and the Registrar's Office, ensuring effective academic program development and implementation.
- Student Affairs: Oversee all operations of Academic and Student Affairs, including student onboarding, persistence, retention, and completion efforts.
- Grant Management: Manage the Perkins Program Improvement grant and explore other grant opportunities related to academic and student affairs.
- Professional Development: Assist in the development and administration of professional development/training sessions for faculty and staff.
- Committee Membership: Serve as a member on appropriate college and CCSNH committees.
- Administrative Duties: Perform administrative duties associated with maintaining a safe work environment, training employees, employee professional development, and orientations for staff.
- Education: Master's degree from a recognized college or university in education, higher education administration, business administration, organizational and/or educational leadership, or related field.
- Experience: Six years of experience in academic affairs, academic or career advising, student services/affairs working with student organizations and programs, or related experience within higher education, including four years of supervisory experience.
- License/Certifications: Valid Driver's License or access to statewide transportation.
- Administrative Experience: Administrative experience in higher education.
- Communication Skills: Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Teamwork: Demonstrated ability to work as a team member and as a project leader and foster an environment of teamwork.
- Supervision: Knowledge of the principles of supervision, administration, systems management, and community organization as applicable to specialized program areas.
- Project Management: Effective project management, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Budgeting: Experience in developing and managing budgets, personnel evaluation, and strategic planning.
- Technology: Fluency with learning management systems such as Canvas and EAB Navigate and with Oracle-based administrative software systems, such as Banner.
