Stationary Engineer

About the Role

Dignity Health is seeking a skilled Stationary Engineer to join our team at Mercy Hospital of Folsom. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper operation and maintenance of our hospital and medical office buildings.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately take readings and make mechanical rounds checks within the designated timeframe, reporting any discrepancies to your supervisor immediately.
• Complete preventative maintenance work orders per standard, as indicated on the work order.
• Understand and operate emergency generators and related switch-gear, in accordance with regulatory standards.
• Consistently practice the safe operation of equipment and use all safety equipment as appropriate.
• Demonstrate and exercise the necessary skills to properly operate and maintain all related HVAC equipment.
• Demonstrate and exercise the necessary skills to operate and maintain all related boiler operations and equipment, including fuel switching.
• Demonstrate and exercise the necessary skills to enter and extract correct information from the computer system and related programs.

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of experience (with 2 years in a hospital setting) in building engineering and maintenance.
• CT REFRIG certification.
• Valid California state driver's license with no moving violations in the two prior years.
• Maintains and repairs the following systems: Boiler systems and related equipment, HVAC systems and related equipment, Pneumatic controls, Water distribution systems, Fire alarm systems, Nurse Call systems, Electrical distribution systems, Medical gas systems, Computer systems.
