Job Description

**Job Title:** Security Specialist I - Visitor Access Control

**Job Summary:** We are seeking a highly skilled Security Specialist I to join our team at Armada. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and performing various security-related tasks, including visitor access control, security clearance, and access control.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and perform visitor access control services, including verifying identities, issuing visitor badges, and briefing visitors on prohibited items regulations.
  • Conduct security clearance checks and ensure compliance with security protocols.
  • Manage access control systems, including user administration and security, and monitor CAC cardstock and consumables.
  • Verify policy and procedure compliance and perform site administration and security tasks.
  • Document overrides and use the automated card management system.
  • Perform Verifying Official (VO) services, including issuing CAC/ID Cards, protecting privacy and confidentiality, and verifying identities.
  • Generate and scan documents, including DD Form 214, and provide monthly reports on CAC issuance totals.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum/General Experience: The VAC must have the experience, education, or training that demonstrates the ability to follow directions, to read, understand, and retain a variety of instructions, regulations, and procedures.
  • Must demonstrate the ability or have endorsements that indicate the ability to learn and perform the cited position's duties.
  • Must demonstrate knowledge of security classification methods, concepts, eligibility for access to classified or sensitive information and the process for granting personnel security clearances/accesses, and knowledge of commonly applied security principles, concepts, and methodologies in carrying out information, personnel, and physical security programs related to the protection of SCI.
