Job Summary:

The Vice President, Commercial Banker role at Western Alliance Bank is a key position responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities in the commercial banking sector. This includes leading the sales cycle, from prospecting to closing, and maintaining a strong relationship with existing clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial lending, excellent analytical and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a business plan to identify and pursue new commercial banking opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, including regular communication and follow-up to ensure their needs are being met.
  • Collaborate with internal partners to assess client needs and develop tailored solutions.
  • Present and negotiate commercial banking products and services to clients, including deposit and credit solutions.
  • Conduct financial analysis and credit evaluations to determine the feasibility of loan requests.
  • Work with the loan committee to obtain approval for loan requests.
  • Coordinate the closing and onboarding process for new loans.
  • Stay up-to-date on market trends and competitor activity to ensure the bank remains competitive.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university and six (6) or more years of related experience and/or training; or a combination of experience and education.
  • Work-related experience must consist of a basic lending background, including negotiating, underwriting, and coordinating the closing of a variety of major and complex commercial loans.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of related state and federal banking compliance regulations, and other bank operational policies.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge and experience in financial statement and tax return analysis.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge and experience with deposit and treasury management products.
  • Exceptional analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

What We Offer:

Western Alliance Bank offers a competitive salary range of $126,000 to $156,000 for new hires in Henderson, NV, as well as annual bonus/incentives earned and restricted stock.
