Registered Nurse - ICU Full Time Night Shift with Competitive Sign-On Bonus
The ICU Nursing Unit at Guthrie is recognized for its excellence in critical care nursing. This full-time position requires 36 hours per week with a rotation of every other weekend from 7 PM to 7 AM.
This structure allows healthcare providers to intervene proactively, ensuring patients receive timely access to high-quality care.
We offer competitive differentials for RN-ICU responsibilities, night shift, and weekend work, along with a sign-on bonus that does not require a contract or repayment.

The Registered Nurse (RN) delivers professional, comprehensive nursing care in an acute care setting. Responsible for providing coordinated, safe, compassionate, and evidence-based quality care to patients and families, addressing their individual physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. Practices in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, the American Nurses Association (ANA) Code of Ethics, and the ANA scope and standards of practice. Essential functions and specific skills for the role are outlined in the unit-specific onboarding checklist and relevant specialty standards.
Qualifications:
1) Must be a Registered Nurse licensed in the state of practice. 2) A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred. 3) Any previously agreed-upon timeline for obtaining a BSN will remain in effect. 4) Specialty Certification is preferred. 5) Current BLS certification is required. 6) ACLS and PALS certifications are dependent on the unit.
Experience:
The Registered Nurse must hold a current nursing license in the state of employment with a minimum of one year of experience. Alternatively, less than one year of experience may be acceptable if transitioning from the Newly Licensed Registered Nurse Residency (NLRN) Program. The RN must comply with individual nursing unit specifications regarding educational requirements during employment.

Nursing Professional Practice:
Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
Develop, update, and coordinate patient care plans to achieve optimal outcomes and facilitate transitions across the care continuum.
Monitor, document, and communicate patient conditions as necessary. Maintain essential competencies required for the specific area of hire and patient population served.Advocacy:
Advocate for ethical and holistic care by collaborating in care planning to uphold the autonomy, dignity, rights, values, and beliefs of patients.
Facilitating Learning:
Promote a learning environment for patients, families, nursing staff, and other healthcare team members, including students; facilitate both formal and informal learning opportunities.

Ensure safety by identifying and addressing issues, integrating evidence-based practices into nursing care, and utilizing data to enhance patient outcomes.
