Position Overview:
The Medical Imaging Technologist will deliver essential support to fellow imaging professionals as required. This role is crucial in upholding established departmental and organizational protocols, quality assurance guidelines, and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Engages effectively with patients and healthcare providers by coordinating and prioritizing imaging procedures throughout the workday to ensure exceptional patient care and continuity.
  • Exhibits flexibility and readiness to rotate among various departments and clinics to ensure adequate coverage.
  • Assists Radiologists or other medical professionals during invasive and fluoroscopic procedures, utilizing equipment to accurately identify anatomical locations.
  • Maintains cleanliness and organization of examination rooms, ensuring they are well-stocked prior to procedures and adheres to Infection Control standards.
  • Adapts patient assessment, treatment, and care methods to meet the unique physical, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual, age-specific, and developmental needs of each patient.
  • Conducts all responsibilities in a manner that safeguards patient confidentiality, refraining from soliciting or disclosing any confidential information unless necessary for job performance.

Qualifications:
Education and Skills:
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technology program or an equivalent recognized qualification.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a hospital setting is preferred.
Licenses and Certifications:
  • Current registration from The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists is mandatory.
  • Active state licensure is required.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is essential.
