Nurse Practitioner

Responsibilities
1. Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. This includes collecting and analyzing data on psychological, physiological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic, and lifestyle factors.
2. Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare consumer and multidisciplinary team. This includes setting measurable and achievable short and long-term goals based on the assessment.
3. Implement and modify the plan of care using assessment data, clinical reasoning, and evidence-based practice. This includes care coordination, education, and discharge planning.
4. Evaluate progress towards identified healthcare consumer goals and revise the plan of care as needed. This includes documenting all phases of the nursing process in the patient's record.
5. Demonstrate personal and professional responsibility for ongoing development, practice, and education. Maintain a safe work environment and foster a collaborative environment in support of the nursing profession.
Qualifications
Required:
Graduate of an RN nursing program.
Active RN licensure in the State of Iowa, or nurse licensure compact.
Basic life support. Acceptable credentialing bodies and certifications include the American Heart Association: Basic Life Support.
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required within 6 months of hire.
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification required within 6 months of hire.
Pay Range
$36.00 - $52.20 /hour
