  • Candidate Sourcing and Outreach:
    • Utilize 10thStreet ATS online database and referrals to review sourced potential CDL drivers
    • Initiate contact with candidates through phone calls, emails, and other communication methods to assess their interest and qualifications
    • Provide information, build rapport, and influence potential drivers to drive for Stevens Transport Inc
  • Candidate Screening and Evaluation:
    • Review DOT, State, Local, and Company requirements to assess candidates' qualifications, experience, and compliance with CDL requirements
    • Interview pre-qualified candidates according to minimum hiring requirements of Stevens Transport and DOT
    • Conduct in-depth phone interviews to evaluate candidates' driving skills, work history, and alignment with company standards
  • Compliance and Documentation:
    • Ensure candidates meet the company's hiring criteria and regulatory requirements by verifying driving records, criminal records, and employment history
    • Maintain accurate records of candidate documentation and information
  • Interviewing and Assessment:

  • Candidate Selection and Offer:

    • Assist in coordinating the onboarding process for new CDL drivers, including orientation, training, and compliance with company policies and safety regulations

  • Reporting and Data Management:
    • Generate and maintain accurate recruitment-related reports, including metrics on candidate sourcing, interviews, and hiring outcomes
    • Utilize recruitment software and databases to manage candidate data efficiently
    • Generating regular and ad-hoc reports as needed by management
  • Relationship Building:

Qualifications:
  • Minimum Qualifications:
    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Proficiency in using applicant tracking systems (ATS), recruitment software, and related tools
    • Strong computer and typing skills in a Windows environment, including Outlook, Excel, and Word
    • Ability to handle high volumes of inbound and outbound calls and email
    • Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities and competing deadlines
    • Ability to provide valuable and timely customer service to candidates, hiring managers, and senior-level management

  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or a related field preferred
    • Strong knowledge of CDL requirements, FMCSA regulations, and industry standards
    • Previous experience in recruitment, particularly in CDL driver recruitment or a related role within the transportation or logistics industry
