The primary responsibility involves accurately recording all payments received, including those made in-store, via mail, or through delivery. The role requires managing the cash register and addressing customer inquiries, processing orders, and verifying customer references. A significant portion of the role, approximately 40%, is dedicated to enhancing sales opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
Responds to incoming calls in a courteous and professional manner, directing them to the appropriate personnel.
Engages in sales activities, assisting customers in selecting merchandise, completing order forms, confirming orders, and scheduling delivery times.
Maintains organized customer files, ensuring they are updated regularly.Completes rental agreements and inputs relevant data into the system.
Prepares deliveries in advance, ensuring they are ready at least one hour prior to scheduled times. Aids in optimizing delivery routes to minimize time and costs.
Ensures returned merchandise is cleaned and ready for resale within 48 hours.
Maintains showroom cleanliness and ensures all products are properly tagged, operational, and displayed correctly.
The initial hours of each day are dedicated to showroom upkeep, including cleanliness and pricing.Ensures compliance with pricing guidelines set by the company.
Understands and maintains advertising and promotional programs.
Familiarity with monthly advertising campaigns to effectively communicate with customers and facilitate sales.
Conducts follow-ups on deliveries to ensure customer satisfaction within three days.
Additional Duties:
Maintains inventory of remote controls and manuals for all products.
Collaborates with the Store Manager to develop innovative strategies for attracting new customers and securing new agreements.
Contributes to the overall cleanliness and organization of the store.
Qualifications:
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
No prior retail experience is necessary. Must be capable of lifting and carrying items weighing up to fifty (50) pounds.
Required Skills:
Demonstrates a high level of precision, accuracy, and coordination, with a solid understanding of electronics and repair processes.
Ability to comprehend oral and written instructions.
Capable of managing customer and associate interactions effectively.
After training, possesses working knowledge of all electronic and mechanical products in inventory.
Work Environment:
Work is conducted in various settings, requiring considerable walking, standing, bending, and lifting.
Due to the nature of the business, the ability to find alternative solutions and manage the pressures of multiple tasks is essential.
Additional hours outside of standard business hours may be necessary. Frequent travel between locations may also be required.Must handle the emotional and mental stress associated with customer interactions.
Utilizes a hand truck for moving merchandise.
Work is typically performed in-store, in the field, and in customers' homes.
Fieldwork may involve diverse conditions, including transporting items across various terrains.
May encounter stairs, wet or uneven surfaces, and other environmental factors. Driving in different weather conditions is also necessary.Participation in company training sessions may be required.
Relationships:
Requires regular communication with customers, team members, and management. Occasional interaction with external business partners may occur. Effective communication with supervisors and colleagues is essential.
