A Battery Manufacturing Process Specialist is sought by Plasma International, a pioneering entity in the battery cell sector.

Role Summary:
The successful candidate will be an experienced and driven Process Engineer with extensive knowledge of lithium-ion cell production methodologies. This role involves the design, enhancement, and oversight of processes to guarantee the creation of high-quality, safe, and dependable battery cells.
Key Duties:
- Direct the design, development, and refinement of lithium-ion battery cell production processes, encompassing electrode preparation through to cell assembly.
- Implement and uphold stringent quality assurance protocols to ensure battery cells fulfill or surpass industry performance and safety benchmarks.
- Collaborate with materials experts to assess and select appropriate materials for battery electrodes, separators, and electrolytes.
- Identify and suggest necessary equipment and tools for battery cell manufacturing, overseeing their installation and upkeep.
- Work alongside interdisciplinary teams to transition manufacturing processes from laboratory-scale to pilot-scale and ultimately to full-scale production.
- Examine data from experiments and production activities to discern trends, troubleshoot challenges, and execute corrective measures.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive process documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and safety guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards, taking initiative in addressing any safety issues.
- Engage with a diverse team of scientists and engineers to foster innovation and tackle complex technical problems.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in lithium-ion battery cell production processes and related equipment.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and capacity to work autonomously as well as collaboratively.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in relevant software tools for data analysis.
- Familiarity with quality assurance and statistical process control techniques.
- Effective communication skills, capable of articulating complex technical concepts clearly.
- Dedication to safety, quality, and environmental stewardship.
