Medical Device Assembly Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manufacturing Team Lead to join our team at Medtronic in Dexter, MI. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for overseeing a production team of 6-10 people, including training, coordinating schedules, motivating and aligning the team to strategic objectives, and fostering an atmosphere of growth and belonging.
Responsibilities- Oversee a production team of 6-10 people, including scheduling, assigning work stations, ensuring team members have appropriate training for their assigned workstations.
- Coordinate production needs, such as requesting materials and repairs as needed.
- Foster a positive atmosphere of safety, quality, and belonging.
- Makes continuity checks on work in process and completed.
- May conduct quality inspections on processing line in accordance with quality specifications.
- May disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions.
- Requires minimum of 4 years of work experience.
- Prior experience training adults in a work or educational setting.
- Able to self-direct and prioritize their own tasks as well as coordinate the tasks of others.
- Able to collaborate with team members and other departments.
