Overview
The Housekeeper is responsible for performing a variety of cleaning tasks to maintain a safe and sanitary environment for residents and staff. This role involves both resident and non-resident areas, ensuring cleanliness and orderliness throughout the facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducts comprehensive cleaning duties including mopping, dusting, sanitizing, and scrubbing various surfaces such as floors, walls, and furniture.
- Handles resident room cleaning and prepares rooms for new admissions.
- Utilizes floor-cleaning equipment to care for hard surfaces and carpets.
- Manages the disposal of regular and medical waste in accordance with safety protocols.
- Restocks essential supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper as required.
- Maintains the cleanliness and organization of housekeeping carts and tools.
- Assists in hanging drapes and curtains and rearranging furniture as needed.
Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
Skills: Ability to follow oral and written instructions in English. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with the healthcare team.
