Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Critical Care Paramedic to join our team at Global Medical Response Inc. As a Critical Care Paramedic, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in emergency and non-emergency situations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess each call situation to determine the best course of action and provide advanced medical care in accordance with training and established clinical protocols.
  • Utilize and interpret common laboratory reports, manage complicated pharmacologic infusions, and perform treatments and procedures in accordance with a Paramedic CCT level of certification.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, loved ones, and other healthcare professionals to collect necessary data and explain procedures and processes.
  • Act as a team leader and take responsibility for scene and unit management as needed.
  • Drive the ambulance and other company vehicles, and maintain the general condition of the ambulance.
  • Participate in and ensure that beginning of shift procedures are accurately completed and documented daily.
  • Check and monitor the condition and state of readiness of equipment throughout the shift and report any issues to the on-duty Supervisor.
  • Assist with cleaning the ambulance and restocking supplies as needed.
  • Accurately document all patient assessments and care provided during each call via the Company's platform.
Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years of age and have 3 to 5 years of experience as a field Paramedic.
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent GED and some advanced education preferred.
  • Must have effective oral and written communication skills, strong listening and comprehension skills, and the ability to adapt to quickly evolving situations.
  • Must have a valid Driver's License with an MVR that meets Company Standards and state Paramedic CCT Certification, BLS/CPR, ACLS, ITLA, PHTLS, ATLS, PALS, PEPP, and PCC certifications.
Working Conditions and Mental/Physical Requirements
  • Available to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays, with extended workdays and long periods inside the ambulance.
  • May work indoors or outdoors with exposure to weather, moderate noise levels, and poorly lit environments in a moving vehicle.
  • Must successfully pass the Company's Physical Agility Test and be able to lift more than 200 lbs. with assistance, push, pull, reach, lift, bend, squat, kneel, twist, carry, type, and stair climb.
  • Must be able to wear a face mask or respirator with proper fit for extended periods when required.
