Ultrasound Technologist Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our team for an immediate travel opportunity in Augusta, GA. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for performing high-quality ultrasound procedures and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Educate patients and their families regarding procedures and ensure their comfort and safety throughout the examination process.
  • Operate sonographic equipment to identify and observe areas of concern, and prepare exam rooms for procedures.
  • Collaborate with radiologists to perform ultrasound procedures and biopsies, and report any abnormalities to medical staff.
  • Maintain sonography equipment, conduct scan tests, and write reports based on results.
  • Ensure accurate patient records and understand the McKesson PACS system.
Requirements:
  • 1 year of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist.
  • BLS, ARDMS National Certification, and state-specific licensing when required.
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty.
  • Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.

Please note that additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
