Bus Monitor

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Transportation Monitor to join our team at First Student Canada-Transco. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe transportation of students and passengers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide operational oversight and day-to-day management of transportation routes
• Assist drivers in safe operation of routes and ensure compliance with safety protocols
• Communicate with school personnel, students, and parents to ensure smooth transportation operations
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of buses to ensure safety and maintenance standards are met
• Assist in emergency situations, including evacuations and first aid

Requirements:

• Good verbal communication skills and attention to detail
• Early morning availability and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Judgement and problem-solving skills to manage high degrees of stress
