As a key member of our Counseling & Psychological Center, you will play a vital role in providing mental health services to our students, promoting their academic success, and enhancing their overall well-being.
Key Responsibilities- Provide group counseling and workshops to address students' mental and emotional health needs.
- Offer short-term individual counseling and psychotherapy in areas such as personal and educational difficulties, social conflicts, significant adjustment problems, and mental and emotional disorders.
- Diagnose and treat mental and emotional disorders, with a focus on evidence-based practices.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement clinical consultation and outreach programs that address the developmental issues of students and their mental and emotional needs.
- Train and supervise practicum/intern graduate students in the field of counseling psychology.
- An earned doctorate from an accredited program in Counseling Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Counselor Education, or Social Work.
- Licensed or license eligible by the State of North Carolina to practice clinical services within the area of competency.
- Demonstrated proficiency in multicultural competence and experience working with individuals from culturally diverse populations.
- Ability to work effectively with young adults and a broad range of clinical presentations and diagnoses.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and team members.
- Ability to engage therapeutically in Spanish and English.
- Demonstrated proficiency or expertise in working with communities of color.
- Experience working in a college counseling center.
The University of North Carolina at Greensboro offers a competitive salary range of $63,299 - $72,500, as well as a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for professional growth and development.
