The Role

We're seeking a Solutions Architect to support our Digital Experience and Transformation team as we continue to grow as QuidelOrtho.

This role will be a member of our Digital Experience CoE team, responsible for implementing customer experiences powered by Adobe's Experience Manager, Salesforce, Elastic, Okta CIC, and other web & mobile platforms.

The successful candidate will possess a strong combination of leadership, analytical, and technical skills, designing best practice solutions in close collaboration with our business partners.

Ideal candidates will be experienced full-stack Java developers with responsibilities including requirements gathering, designing technical solutions, coordinating and participating in build activities, supporting integration and user acceptance testing, and providing go-live and post-deployment support.

This position will be based in Rartian, NJ, with 3-4 days of onsite work required.

The Responsibilities

We're looking for a self-starter who can learn new technologies and platforms independently, demonstrating the ability to gather business requirements, design technical solutions, and implement solutions either alone or by coordinating with other IT resources.

Develops, recommends, and applies new concepts, techniques, systems, and technologies within assigned areas of expertise.

Consistently demonstrates initiative to acquire and utilize new technical skills within the job function.

Delivers technical solutions that meet business requirements, IT technical standards, and are sustainable in the planned productive environment.

Detail-oriented, able to multi-task and prioritize, with a strong ability to work independently with initiative.

Perform other work-related duties as assigned.

The Individual

Required:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.

10+ years of full-stack development experience across diverse platforms and technologies, including web and mobile development.

Expert in Front-end Development: Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.

Development Expertise:

Extensive experience with server-side technologies such as Java, Python.

Identity and Access Management (IAM): Experience with OKTA CIC (Auth0) for user authentication, SSO, and MFA integration, and/or experience with SAP CDC (Gigya).

API Development:

Strong experience in designing and implementing RESTful APIs and GraphQL for both mobile and web applications.

Cloud Platforms:

Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud services, and containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.

Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for smooth application deployment and scaling.

Familiarity with microservices architecture for building distributed applications.

This position will require around 5% travel domestically.

Preferred:

Familiarity with Elastic Stack, Logstash, and Kibana for search, analytics, and data visualization.

AI/ML Integration:

Familiarity with AI technologies.

The Work Environment

No strenuous physical activity is required, though occasional light lifting of files and related materials is necessary.

30% of time is spent in meetings, working with the team, or talking on the phone, while 70% of the time is spent at the desk on a computer, doing analytical work.

Minimal travel is required, including airplane, automobile travel, and overnight hotel stays.

Physical Demands:

This position will require traditional demands of that related to an office environment, including but not limited to: sitting, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, reaching, pushing, and pulling for extended periods of time.

Salary Transparency

The salary range for this position takes into account a wide range of factors, including education, experience, knowledge, skills, geography, and abilities of the candidate, in addition to internal equity and alignment with market data.

At QuidelOrtho, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.

The salary range for this position is $140,000 to $155,000 and is bonus eligible.
