We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for a travel assignment in a dynamic healthcare environment. This role involves providing care in a Medical/Surgical unit with a focus on Central Telemetry and managing dysrhythmias.
Certification Requirements- AHA or ARC certifications for ACLS, BLS, and PALS are acceptable.
- NIH Stroke Certification is mandatory.
- NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure certification as applicable.
- Completion of a Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam is required as applicable.
- This is a Travel/Contract position for a Registered Nurse.
- Floating to different units may be required.
- A minimum of 3 years of nursing experience is required, with a preference for 3-5 years.
- Experience in a teaching facility and in a facility with at least 200 beds is desired.
- First-time travelers with acute care experience are welcome.
- Candidates from LTAC, Home care, or Critical Access hospitals are not suitable.
- Experience in Central Telemetry is essential, with the ability to manage dysrhythmias.
- Care for patients undergoing Ortho & Bariatric Surgeries is part of the role.
- BLS and NIH certification are required.
- A valid state nursing license must be held.
- If utilizing primary nursing, the patient ratio is 1:5-6.
- Team nursing patient ratios may vary between day and night shifts.
- No block scheduling is available.
- Every Other Weekend (EOW) shifts are expected.
- Floating to other units as needed is required.
- Patient ratios may vary between 1:5-6 or depending on team nursing 7-10.
- Requests for time off (RTO) will require completion of modules prior to start; up to five days off may be requested, with additional time off needing prior approval.
- Working on holidays may be necessary based on unit needs and scheduling.
- Patient diagnoses include Medical/Surgical, Primary Hospitalist, and Ortho & Bariatric Surgeries.
- Central Telemetry experience is required, with responsibilities to manage dysrhythmias.
- No block scheduling is available.
- Requests for up to five days off are permitted; additional time off requires prior approval.
- Working on holidays will be required based on unit needs and scheduling.
- The unit accepts first-time travelers with the requisite experience from appropriate facility types.
