Role Summary:

As a Medical Assistant in our Neurology department, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our healthcare team. This is a travel float position, which means you will have the opportunity to work in various locations and gain diverse experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare examination rooms and sterilize medical equipment and instruments
  • Room patients, obtain health history, and check vital signs
  • Document patient care using electronic medical records software
  • Schedule appointments, complete prior authorizations, process medication refills, handle referrals, and answer patient calls as needed

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Medical Assistant diploma, technical certificate, or certification, or 1+ years of experience performing the critical skills of a Medical Assistant after on-the-job training
  • Medical Assistant Certification (CMA, CCMA, NCMA, or RMA) or willingness to attain certification within 9 months of start date
