Trauma Surgeon Job Description

VHC Health is seeking a skilled Trauma Surgeon to join our team. As a Trauma Surgeon, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide comprehensive care to patients
  • Support objectives, budget, and performance metrics
  • Implement quality control standards, risk management, and compliance programs
  • Provide quality clinical care to patients in a timely manner
Requirements:
  • Doctorate from an accredited medical school
  • One year of medical/surgical experience
  • Licensed to practice medicine by the Virginia Department of Health Professions
Working Conditions:

Works in a well-lighted/ventilated office/clinical setting, subject to frequent interruptions, long hours, and changing shifts. May be required to work beyond normal working hours. Routine occupational exposure to infectious diseases, blood-borne pathogens, bodily fluids, hazardous chemicals, noxious odors, latex, and musculoskeletal injuries.

Involved with patients, family members, co-workers, and visitors under all conditions. The use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is needed for instances of exposure to blood, body fluids, and infectious processes.
