Job Summary

The Clinical Nursing Supervisor is a key leadership role at the Community Health Center of Snohomish County. This position oversees the day-to-day functions of the Registered Nurse team, including assessing and developing clinical programs that support the nursing function.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and lead the clinical Registered Nurse team, including recruiting, hiring, scheduling, timekeeping, training, coaching, evaluating, and discipline.
  • Prepare and present timely performance reviews.
  • Identify and plan for Clinical RN staffing needs and take proactive action.
  • Work with other team members to promote clinical quality and assist the Clinical Quality RN Manager in problem-solving.
  • Plan and evaluate multidisciplinary process improvements relating to the clinical nursing team, including quality of clinical care, practice, and service.
  • Recommend policy and procedure changes to improve nursing processes, delivery of quality care, and patient outcomes using clinical knowledge.
  • Develop and deliver nursing education in specialty areas from basic to advanced practice levels.
  • Maintain and enhance various databases, statistics, and reports relating to the nursing role.

  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Education and Experience
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Associate's degree in Nursing.
  • Not less than a 0.5 Full Time Equivalent (FTE) of patient care within the field of training within the past year.
  • Supervisory experience at the department level, including evaluation and training of employees, problem-solving initiative, and collaboration in program development.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Clinical experience in an ambulatory or acute-care setting.
  • Healthcare information systems experience, including electronic health records and practice management systems.
  • Experience in a multiple provider medical practice.
  • Working with low-income, multi-ethnic populations.
Credentials
  • Registered Nurse license with the State of Washington.
  • Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (CPR/AED) certification, obtained within 45 days of employment.
