Registered Nurse Service Line Lead

At Banner Health, we're committed to delivering exceptional patient care and creating a positive work environment for our team members. We're seeking a Registered Nurse Service Line Lead to join our team in Ogallala, Nebraska.
About the Role:This is a 40-hour per week position with two 12-hour bedside shifts and two 8-hour paper shifts. As a Registered Nurse Service Line Lead, you'll be responsible for supporting nursing leadership and planning clinical support to patients and staff in a specific service line. You'll work closely with other RN Service Line Leads to ensure quality and continuity of services throughout the facility.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee the operations of the service line to ensure smooth and efficient patient care management.
- Collaborate with other Service Line Leads to complete daily rounding on patients and staff to ensure quality provision of care.
- Manage the service line to ensure patient and employee satisfaction while promoting safety and retention.
- Coordinate quality initiatives and process improvements, aligning with metrics.
- Develop leadership skills among staff, including communication, decision-making, problem-solving/critical thinking, and employee engagement.
- Facilitate service line meetings and shared governance/leadership efforts.
- Assist in selection, orientation, on-boarding, and retention, aligning with leader to coach and in development opportunities to create a culture of learning.
- Oversee service line staff to ensure excellent patient care, participating in activities that foster management skills while enabling staff to care for patients, determine schedules, edit timecards, research budget issues, and order supplies.
- Must possess a strong knowledge and understanding of nursing and healthcare, normally obtained through the completion of a Bachelor's degree in nursing.
- Requires a current RN license in the state of practice and certification for BLS.
- Must possess at least 2 or more years of clinical experience relevant to the patient population.
- Demonstrates knowledge and skills of specialty area, requiring critical thinking, communication, influence, decision-making, analytical, and flexibility skills to make optimal decisions based on multiple variables and desired outcomes.
