Job Summary

We are seeking a board-certified/board-eligible, fellowship-trained Orthopaedic Hand Surgeon to join our faculty practice in Augusta, Georgia. The selected candidate will be responsible for the overall clinical care of adults and children with upper extremity conditions, both as inpatients and outpatients. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to patient care, education, and research, and will be an active participant in the on-call schedule.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of upper extremity conditions.
  • Participate in resident teaching and clinical research, and contribute to the development of educational programs.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to establish operational policies and procedures for the practice, including purchasing, managed care plan participation, budgeting, and personnel management.
  • Share responsibility for after-hours call coverage and participate in community service activities, including speaking engagements and special clinical programs.
  • Ensure compliance with risk management, coding, and quality assurance standards.
Requirements
  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school, completion of an accredited Orthopaedic Surgery Residency.
  • Board certification/eligibility and completion of a Hand Surgery Fellowship.
  • At least 5 years of experience as a practicing Orthopaedic Hand Surgeon.
  • Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor rank, depending on experience and qualifications.
