Job Description

The Heavy Equipment Maintenance Technician I role is an entry-level position that focuses on diesel mechanic skills, with a strong emphasis on learning and growth within our rolling equipment shop facilities and processes.

This technician will work under direct supervision to inspect, repair, and maintain vehicles and farm equipment, with the opportunity to train with and learn from a more experienced Heavy Equipment Maintenance Technician II whenever possible.

Key responsibilities include troubleshooting problems with trucks and heavy equipment, disassembling and reassembling engines and other components, and working in a field environment to fix farm equipment.

To be successful in this role, you should have a solid understanding of engine repair and a willingness to learn about electrical systems, hydraulics, and fuel/brake lines.

In addition to your technical skills, you may be required to drive a delivery or manure truck as part of your duties.

Kreher Family Farms offers a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits including health insurance, dental insurance, paid time off, and a 401k plan.
