Job Summary and Qualifications

Responsibilities:
  • Perform patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care.
  • Implement and evaluate care, working collaboratively with the interdisciplinary care team.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of cardiac monitoring, identifying dysrhythmias, and treating appropriately based on protocol.
  • Communicate effectively with Resource Nurses, Team Leaders, and Physicians.

Requirements

Experience:
  • 1-3 years of clinical nursing experience as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Able to recognize cardiac rhythms – preferred.
Education:
  • Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing program.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) – preferred.
License and Certifications:
  • Current State of Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact Registered Nursing License.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required as per St. David's Healthcare policy.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification – required within 90 days of hire.
