We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pediatric ICU Nurse to join our team at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. As a critical care pediatric nurse, you will provide exceptional patient care to pediatric patients in the intensive care unit.
Key Responsibilities- Perform life-sustaining care for pediatric patients in the ICU
- Evaluate and document each patient's response to interventions and respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition
- Demonstrate knowledge of medications and their correct administration based on age of the patient and their clinical condition
- Work closely with department leadership and physicians to coordinate treatment plans and examinations
- Educate parents on day-to-day operations, treatment plans, and at-home care procedures
- Current State of Idaho or Compact Registered Nurse License
- American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification within 7 days of hire
- American Red Cross or American Heart Association Advanced Life Support Course (ALS or ACLS) and Certification. Must obtain within 90 days of hire and maintain certification
- American Red Cross or American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Course and Certification. Must obtain within 90 days of hire and maintain certification
- ENPC or TNCC within 18 months of hire
- One to two years of recent critical care experience preferred
Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center is a full-service hospital with 318+ patient beds. Our hospital is the largest medical facility in the region, serving southeast Idaho, western Wyoming, Yellowstone National Park, and parts of Montana. We have a Level II Trauma Center, a Level 1 ICU, and the only Burn Center in the state of Idaho. Our 74-bed Behavioral Health Center offers inpatient and outpatient mental health care for adolescents and adults.
