Position Overview

In this role, you will work under the general oversight of medical and nursing personnel, adhering to established protocols, procedures, and professional standards. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting with surgical and endoscopic operations, as well as preparing, organizing, and maintaining surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment throughout the procedures. You will also be tasked with the cleaning, restocking, and processing of the surgical environment, instruments, and equipment as necessary. It is essential to identify and communicate any situations that require attention to the Registered Nurse or Clinician. You will be expected to perform your duties in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of Tampa General Hospital.

Requirements
  • Completion of a Surgical Technologist training program, with CST Certification from AST or NCCT mandatory, and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Alternatively, successful completion of a Hospital-Based Surgical Tech Program, coupled with 10 years of Surgical Tech experience, while maintaining current CST certification from AST or NCCT.
