The CT Technologist plays a vital role in the diagnosis and treatment of patient pathologies by assisting in the interpretation of images obtained through computed tomography procedures.

As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for operating a CT scanner to obtain high-quality images, modifying technical settings to enhance image quality, and performing routine quality inspections and quality control maintenance on the scanner.

You will work under the general direction of the Manager, Radiology and the immediate supervision of the Lead Technologist, performing imaging procedures at a technical level not requiring direct supervision.

The ideal candidate will have two years of experience in diagnostic x-ray and one year of experience in CT, with a current full Certificate of Radiologic Technology issued by the Department of Health Services, State of California (CRT).

Additional qualifications include current CPR Certification & Fluoroscopy permit, previous CT scanning experience, and experience with Client scanners.

The CT Technologist will be responsible for the quality control and enforcement of Enloe Medical Centers Core Values, ARRT Standards of Ethics, and the policies and procedures of the designated area.

Responsibilities include:

  • Performing imaging procedures at a technical level not requiring direct supervision
  • Operating CT equipment, preparing and administering contrast media, performing Intravenous contrast injections, operating X-ray equipment, preparing patient's room, equipment, supplies, and medications
  • Assuming responsibility for designated areas as assigned
  • Supporting and contributing to the service excellence mission of Enloe Medical Center and the Radiology Department

Skills and knowledge required include a thorough knowledge of human structure and function, cross-sectional anatomy, patient care, positioning, and principles of radiographic exposure, quality assurance, radiation physics, radiation protection, radiobiology, and specialized techniques as required for a radiologic and CT technologist.

The ideal candidate will be intelligent and self-motivated, with excellent communication and critical thinking skills, problem-solving techniques, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
