Role Summary

The National Programs Business Intelligence Systems & Applications Operating Unit is seeking a skilled DevOps Systems Administrator to contribute to the SITE III JIOC contract. This role focuses on the management, maintenance, and advancement of applications that support Collection Management, Intelligence Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) operations, directly aiding intelligence analysts and operations teams.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:
  • Designing and implementing CI/CD build and deployment pipelines.
  • Integrating various tools into the pipeline and resolving integration challenges.
  • Developing and modifying Jenkins-based Groovy scripts.
  • Creating and updating CloudFormation scripts.
  • Troubleshooting issues within Jenkins and AWS environments, including Linux EC2 and RDS.
  • Documenting essential features for developer utilization.
  • Automating processes to enhance efficiency, including build staging and network variance corrections.
  • Collaborating with development teams to incorporate new microservices into the pipeline.
  • Automating installations of commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) products.
  • Monitoring AWS services and developing scripts for operational oversight.
  • Integrating tools for the DevOps process, such as SonarQube and Fortify.

Qualifications

Applicants should possess:
  • A Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience; or 4 additional years of experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Proficiency in Linux environments.
  • Experience with scripting languages, including Bash and Python.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Familiarity with Git for source control.
  • A willingness to work in a DevSecOps environment with an Infrastructure as Code approach.
  • Ability to obtain TS clearance and pass a polygraph examination.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Active CompTIA Security+ CE Certification.
  • Basic knowledge of an Object-Oriented Programming Language, preferably Java or Python.
  • Experience with cloud-based software solutions, including development, deployment, and monitoring.
  • Knowledge of integrating Jenkins and Docker for automated CI/CD processes.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes or OpenShift.
  • Understanding of IC Audit requirements and experience with Splunk.
  • Experience in supporting the system accreditation process.
