Position Summary
The Culinary Service Team Member is tasked with various responsibilities including, but not limited to, monitoring and documenting food temperatures, establishing and maintaining a clean and sanitized serving area, preparing and serving food items, restocking food areas, cleaning and sanitizing equipment, and processing payments for food and beverages using a computerized register.
This role adheres to Hazardous Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) guidelines for food service, ensuring outstanding customer service while effectively communicating with patrons and colleagues. The position requires the ability to build effective working relationships.
Maintaining quality control standards is essential. Responsibilities may include operating equipment such as grills, beverage machines, toasters, ice cream dispensers, cash registers, steam equipment, dishwashers, telephones, refrigerators, and freezers.
Preferred candidates will have experience in the food industry and the ability to work independently when necessary. A solid understanding of food safety and sanitation processes is crucial, along with the ability to remain on feet for extended periods and walk considerable distances.
Qualifications
Applicants must be a minimum of 16 years of age. Previous customer service experience, along with knowledge of food service and retail cash handling, is preferred. Candidates should possess the ability to read, write, and follow both oral and written instructions, as well as perform basic math. On-the-job training will be provided.
Depending on the location of hire, Serv Safe certification may be required within a designated timeframe. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification may also be necessary based on location requirements.
