Job Title: Optometric Technician

Join EssilorLuxottica, a leading global player in the eyewear industry, as an Optometric Technician. In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering exceptional patient service and ensuring the highest quality of care for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional patient service, ensuring all patients receive the highest quality of care.
  • Determine the reason for the guest's visit, explain how to shop at Target Optical, and provide necessary information about tests, products, and services.
  • Review prescriptions and patient information carefully, identifying special needs and consulting with Opticians, Doctors, or Retail Management when necessary.
  • Perform work accurately and thoroughly, despite time pressure and guest volume, and identify situations involving unsatisfied guests and act quickly for resolution.
  • Handle and file patient records in an organized and efficient manner, place contact lens orders, process shipments, and submit invoices for payment.
  • Maintain and disinfect contact lens inventory, provide clinical support to the Optometrist as needed, and take pride in the appearance of the store.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of one year of strong guest service skills (internal/external)
  • High School Graduate/GED or equivalent experience
  • Strong communicator and listener to guests and associates
  • Strong basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
  • Strong interpersonal skills (friendly, caring, patient)
  • Sales skills
  • Knowledge of store merchandise
  • Familiarity with cash register, computers, and calculators
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in guest service, retail, or optical
