Part-time Splunk Developer Opportunity

The Consortium is seeking a highly skilled and experienced part-time Splunk Developer to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing advanced Splunk dashboards, utilizing Splunk SPL queries, reports, dashboards, visualizations, and alerts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation related to dashboard components, including XML, macros, saved searches, etc.
  • Configure Splunk DB Connect App (Identities and Connections) and create scheduled alerts using cron expressions with specific time ranges.
  • Package and deploy dashboard code from DEV to PROD or other environments.
  • Collaborate with other groups who install and maintain the Splunk server infrastructure.
Requirements:
  • More than 6 years of IT technical experience working with Splunk, including 5+ years of experience developing advanced token-controlled Splunk dashboards using Simple XML, HTML, and CSS.
  • Experience in gathering requirements from application teams and creating advanced Splunk dashboards.
  • Experience in writing complex Splunk searches for alerts, reports, and dashboards.
  • Experience in Splunk data ingestion from database tables, application logs, and static sources such as CSV and JSON files.
  • Experience with understanding and customizing SQL queries and constructing Splunk-friendly regex expressions.
  • Experience in optimizing Splunk search queries to obtain optimal performance.
