Speech Language Pathologist Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at Soliant. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for assessing and diagnosing speech, language, and communication disorders in students. Your expertise will be invaluable in developing personalized treatment plans and providing education and training to families and caregivers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations and diagnoses of speech, language, and communication disorders.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address each patient's unique needs.
  • Educate patients and their families about speech disorders, their causes, and effective management techniques.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress.
  • Provide direct therapy to students in individual or group settings.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of patient conditions, treatment plans, therapy sessions, and progress.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and provide recommendations for student support.
  • Stay updated on the latest research and best practices in speech-language pathology.
  • Supervise and provide guidance to speech therapy assistants as needed.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology.
  • Previous experience in a speech-language pathology setting.
  • Experience working in a school setting as an SLP is preferred.
