Role Summary

We are looking for a skilled Radiologic Technologist to work in our ambulatory surgery center. Under the supervision of a physician, you will perform various diagnostic radiographic procedures while adhering to established protocols to ensure positive patient outcomes. Your commitment to the HCA mission of improving human life is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for examinations and evaluate their condition before and during radiologic procedures.
  • Gather necessary supplies and positioning aids based on physician preferences.
  • Test and maintain equipment to ensure proper functionality.
  • Accurately document patient records in compliance with established policies.
  • Ensure appropriate shielding for all individuals in the examination room before activating x-ray equipment.
  • Communicate effectively with the healthcare team regarding patient status.
  • Maintain instruments and supplies by following cleaning and calibration procedures.

Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited radiology program is required.
  • A minimum of one year of experience as a Radiologic Technician is preferred, ideally in a surgical setting.
  • Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is mandatory.
  • BLS certification is required within 30 days of employment.
  • A valid state Radiology Technician license is necessary.
