We are seeking a highly skilled Imaging Specialist - CT Scanner Operator for a travel assignment in Glendive, Montana. This role offers a competitive salary of $$84-$115 per hour, reflecting the high demand for qualified professionals in this field.

Job Description

As an Imaging Specialist - CT Scanner Operator, you will play a critical role in producing high-quality images that aid in diagnosing medical conditions. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Positioning patients accurately for CT scans using immobilization and protective equipment as necessary.
  • Setting the controls of the CT equipment, monitoring patient safety, and making adjustments as required.
  • Assisting radiologists with imaging procedures, starting IVs, and injecting contrast media when necessary.
  • Providing patients with oral contrast for CT scans and assisting radiologists with interventional CT procedures.
  • Evaluating CT scans for technical quality, collating processed images in sequence, and labeling them appropriately.
  • Scheduling patients for procedures and performing some clerical functions.
  • Charging procedures and supplies used to patient records and loading/operating power injections for contrast media administration.
  • Delivering quality, cost-effective patient care in a professional manner, maintaining a safe work environment, and promoting national patient safety initiatives.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

  • At least 18 months of prior experience in a healthcare setting as a CT Tech.
  • Current ARRT (CT) or ASRT certification.
  • Licensure in most states (requirements vary).
  • The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
