Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Mechanic to join our team at GDC Technics Ltd. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing structural modifications and repairs on aircraft components.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform structural modifications and repairs following approved drawings and specifications.
  • Inspect, overhaul, repair, modify, and troubleshoot airframe structural parts and components.
  • Follow all applicable specifications to accomplish specific tasks.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Ensure EWIS protection during all structural removals and installs.
  • Perform work within estimated hours.
  • Complete assignments in accordance with the instructions for continued airworthiness.
  • Interface effectively with members of management, other departments, and co-workers.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Eighteen (18) months or more of aircraft structural overhaul experience.
  • Must provide own tools as required on company tool list.
  • Language (read, write, speak, and understand English).
  • Subject to noises more than 85 dbs.
  • Minimum visual acuity of 20/40 corrected.
Preferred Qualifications
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant or FAA Airframe certificate.
  • Additional related education and/or training.
Work Environment

This job operates in indoor and outdoor settings. The indoor settings include office and warehouse environments which require the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines, as well as safety gear. The outdoor settings include parking lots and airplane runways. The noise level in the work environment is occasionally loud.

Occasionally subject to varying inside and/or outside temperatures, which may include extreme heat (temperatures above 100 degrees) or extreme cold (temperatures below 32 degrees).

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit. The employee frequently is required to use the fingers to make small movements such as typing, picking up small objects.

Travel is not expected for this position.
