Join Our Team as a Tax Associate

CPS is seeking a highly skilled Tax Associate to join our team in South Carolina. As a key member of our tax team, you will be responsible for preparing tax returns, communicating with clients, and developing client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare tax returns for individuals, corporations, and partnerships
  • Communicate effectively with clients, advisors, and senior management
  • Develop and maintain client relationships through exceptional service
  • Assist in scaling the tax team by taking on increasing responsibility and client numbers
  • Stay up-to-date with various software used for tax, paperless documents storage, and workflow
  • Manage client needs and requests, attend client meetings as needed
  • Research complex tax issues
Business Services and Financial Planning:
  • Assist with preparation of monthly financial statements, including bank reconciliations and payroll processing
  • Support senior level managers and attend client meetings as needed
  • Gather, organize, and synthesize client data to develop financial plans and analyses
  • Prepare and deliver financial planning analyses, including tax, social security, and insurance analyses
Requirements:
  • Reliable transportation and ability to live within 50 minutes of our office
  • Full-time position with a minimum of 40 hours per week, with the possibility of up to 65 hours during tax season
