We are seeking a skilled CT Imaging Specialist to join our team at Christus Health.
About the Role:
The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a wide range of diagnostic imaging procedures using state-of-the-art computerized tomography (CT) equipment. This includes but is not limited to, preparing patients for exams, operating CT scanners, and maintaining accurate records.
Responsibilities:
- Perform high-quality CT scans in accordance with established protocols and guidelines.
- Evaluate patient medical history and identify potential contraindications for CT scans.
- Administer intravenous contrast media as needed and maintain accurate records.
- Collaborate with radiologists to ensure accurate diagnoses and treatment plans.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to infection control standards.
- Code and enter exam information accurately and efficiently.
- Provide excellent patient care and communication, adapting to diverse needs and preferences.
- Rotate through departments and clinics as needed to ensure proper coverage and continuity.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technology program or equivalent.
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) and certified in CT.
- 1 year of experience in CT imaging or related field, with preference given to those with 3+ years of experience.
- Current state licensure and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
