Job Title: Senior Electrical Engineer

The Senior Electrical Engineer is a key member of our team, responsible for the electrical analysis, detailed design, and overall electrical performance of air cooled chiller components and systems. This role requires strong technical expertise and leadership skills to support our global teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop electrical power panels, control panels, and wire harnesses in accordance with UL, CSA, and CE codes.
  • Design and implement control logic strategies for software engineers, using flow charts, state diagrams, graphs, and overall control goals.
  • Provide technical direction to other engineers, designers, test lab technicians, factory operations, product marketing, product technical service, field service, and application engineers.
  • Investigate and analyze product design requirements, recommending optimum solutions.
  • Establish test criteria, participate in laboratory testing, and analyze test data to identify chiller performance characteristics.
  • Prepare, check, and coordinate the release of documentation to support designs.
  • Collect and analyze test data to identify electrical performance problems and propose solutions for correction.
  • Ensure the on-time completion of projects.
  • Continuously increase expertise on all aspects of chiller design, theory, construction, operation, and applications.
  • Select the most suitable electrical components.
  • Participate in design reviews.
  • Stay up-to-date with regulatory codes such as UL, NEC, CSA, and CE codes.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET accredited).
  • Minimum 5 years of applicable experience.
  • Strong electrical aptitude and knowledge of electrical components, including motors, inverter drives, soft starters, contactors, and circuit breakers.
  • Excellent time management and product development skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 15% including internationally.
