Job Summary

The Tennessee Board of Regents is seeking a qualified Adjunct Faculty member to teach in the Advanced Technologies program. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality instruction and maintaining a positive learning environment in the classroom.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver instruction to students in a variety of formats, including face-to-face and online classes.
  • Develop and implement course materials, including syllabi and assessments.
  • Evaluate student learning and provide feedback to students.
  • Communicate with students and colleagues in a professional and timely manner.
  • Meet administrative requirements, including reporting on academic activity and submitting final grades.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree or higher in a qualifying field or an Associate degree or higher in a qualifying field along with demonstrated competencies in the field. Qualifying fields include Engineering/Engineering Technologies, Electrical/Electronics/Industrial/Mechanical or other closely related fields.

Availability

This is a part-time, adjunct faculty position. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching on a term-by-term basis, which may include fall, spring, and summer terms.

Compensation

Adjunct faculty pay rates are based on educational qualifications. The rates per credit hour for each educational level are as follows:

  • Less than Bachelor's degree: $500
  • Bachelor's degree: $525
  • Master's degree: $550
  • Master's plus 30 semester hours (ABD): $575
  • Doctorate: $600
