Position Overview

The Department of Medicine at Rutgers University is actively seeking a dedicated Nocturnist to enhance our Hospitalist Division. This role involves the comprehensive management of patients admitted to the hospitalist service, working closely with a variety of specialists and consultants.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee inpatient care in collaboration with emergency department physicians and intensivists.
  • Facilitate smooth transitions of care back to outpatient settings.
  • Engage with multidisciplinary teams, including case managers and social workers, to ensure patient-centered care.
  • Participate in clinical and research initiatives alongside Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.

Qualifications

Candidates must possess an MD/DO or equivalent degree and be board eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine. A willingness to work a 7-on/7-off, 12-hour shift model is essential.
